Army Specialist Dillan Farmer, a Glen Este High School graduate, served his first tour in Afghanistan where he earned a Purple Heart. He was injured when an improvised explosive device exploded just feet from where he was standing. One of Farmer's eardrums was blown out, and shrapnel hit him in his face and arm. Farmer showed great heroism by aiding other soldiers he felt were in more danger. He is now back in college.  Thanks for your service and keeping America safe.
