Walter Downs was a top gun with the, 10th AAF, 12th Bomb Group, and 82nd Squadron. Downs Flew 55 combat missions in a B-25 Bomber. Participated in the "fly-over" at the Victory Parade in Rangoon, Burma on June 15th, 1945. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters. Mr. Downs has passed.

World War II Air Force veteran Alfred Harmon Harmon, who is 94, was one of four veterans honored by the Clermont County Veterans’ Service Commission (VSC) during a recent ceremony in Batavia. Harmon received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign medal with four bronze stars, American Theatre ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal.

Airman First Class Hensgen was inducted into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame for heroism while engaged in ground operations against the enemy at the Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Vietnam in 1968. Another gentlemen I would like to talk with.

Vietnam veteran Francis Yagodzinski has earned and received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.
